Tidus Shimizu's Illustrations

Name of Artwork: Garden Before Your Heart
A story about reaching into someone's heart, but before that, you will need to go through the beautiful garden of roses and radiant light. Are the roses what you see is the heart? Or is the heart after the garden?

Inspired by the famous artists Monet, after visiting 'Monet's Garden' at the Melbourne Art Museum.

Name: Dreamland
Medium: Watercolour
Inspired by a childhood novel 'Where the wild thing's are'. Back as a kid, you dream about fairy's, spiders, monsters, kings and queen - All within our our mind and imagination when we had our eyes closed.  Once we grow older, these radiant memories become fragments of darkness that looms within our memories. Something that some grown up's would never be able to imagine... but once upon a time, that radiance of imagination was within us all...

Name of Artwork: Dark Icon

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas and ball point pen

Childhood iconic comic’s has become an legend in our mind, and it’s legacy of fame has been loss in history. Time is truly a fascinating concept, as it was like yesterday that we see the fame of such iconic figure. Remember the thin comic’s that you use to read in primary school (Casper, MAD magazines etc), they now become a vintage. And yet, they were so common. Will these iconic figures we loved so much become extinct as time goes by?

The vibrant colour enhances the art of ‘Pop Culture’, yet with a hint of darkness surrounding the theme. Like our mind and how we remember history, eventually the darkness grows only darker and darker. Memories fade away, along with our perception of early childhood. Let us not be affected by time, and remember those years that has ticked away as though it was yesterday. Remember those smiles upon your faces when you see these iconic pop culture figures?

Let not time remove these feelings and clog with darkness, and embrace your inner childhood memories. Live it. May this Pop Art allow you to close your eyes and remember yesterday, and don’t let it fade away like everything else.

Name of Artwork: Music That We See
The vibrant colours takes you to a different dimensions where we see the sound, as the music project colors to your eyes.

The moment we were born, our life is pre-determined. We live a life that's not our own. Do we cut the strings? Art is an expression, how do you express? it Maybe life itself is an artform.
